Proper Use and Care Techniques                                 

  1. Carry microscope with two hands

  2. Place it on desk carefully and make sure it is level and stable

  3. Keep it in a vertical (upright) position

  4. Keep the stage dry and free from dirt, grease, food, etc..

  5. Always use the lowest power object available first to focus

  6. Move lens away from the slide

  7. Clean lens with an optical paper tissue

  8. Make sure that the stage clips are parallel to the arm

  9. Place low power objective lens over the light opening making sure it "clicks" in place

  10. When not in use, it should be stored with its cover in a secure cabinet
